Athena San Diego offers an array of opportunities for member involvement. Leave your mark on Athena programming and outreach by becoming involved. Athena San Diego succeeds because of the energy and vision of its committee volunteers.

Responsible for recruiting new members and sponsors, recommending the criteria for membership, and ensuring that sponsors and members receive appropriate benefits.

Responsible for all aspects of Athena San Diego's annual awards event: Seats the panel of judges, hosts a nominee reception, administers the Merit Scholarship Program, and produces the awards ceremony. Members serve from September through May.

Responsible for program, conference, and meeting planning.

Manages external communications, media relations, web site, and the creation of Athena San Diego print materials. The Annual Career Survey is a sub-committee of the PR/Marketing committee.

The purpose of the Community Outreach Committee is to create volunteer opportunities for Athena San Diego Members who wish to help engage our community’s youth in learning about the core science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills that will help them build successful careers in these fields. The goals of the committee are to make a positive impact in the community, foster connections between members and have fun.
