Association for Innovative Cardiovascular Advancements
Rhonda F. Rhyne has over 25 years experience in the health care industry with both public and private companies, as well as experience as a health care provider. Her background includes executive and operational management, medical product development, clinical research & market development, reimbursement, and sales & marketing. She has raised over $40 million in PIPES and angel funding.
Ms Rhyne served as president of the publicly-traded, innovative cardiovascular medical device company, CardioDynamics, from 1997 until 2009 when the company was acquired by SonoSite. Prior to joining CardioDynamics, Ms. Rhyne held positions of Chief Executive Officer and Board Director at Culture Technology, Inc., a privately-held biotechnology company specializing in culturing autologous skin for burn patients. Ms. Rhyne has also held sales and sales management positions at General Electric Medical Systems and Quinton Instrument Company. She earned an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Business Administration and a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Washington State University. She maintains her licensure as a pharmacist.
Ms. Rhyne is a founder of the Association for Innovative Cardiovascular Advancements (AICA) and serves as its President and Chairman. She is also past-Chair of Athena San Diego and currently serves as a board member. Additional non-profit work includes co-chair for American Heart Association’s 2010 Go Red for Women, the Dean’s Advisory Council for Washington State College of Pharmacy and marketing advisor to the San Diego Foundation.
