Lisa Martens is a Principal in the Southern California office of Fish & Richardson P.C. who specializes in trademark and copyright law. She handles all aspects of protection, clearance, enforcement and litigation for clients in a wide range of industries, including health care, biotechnology, computer, semiconductor, retail clothing, sporting goods and food service.

Lisa is a leader in her field and has published numerous articles on cutting edge legal issues in the field of trademarks and copyrights. She has received a number of awards, including being named a San Diego Super Lawyer; named by San Diego Metropolitan Magazine as one of "San Diego’s 40 Young Leaders Under 40"; and named by the San Diego Daily Transcript as one of "San Diego's Top Attorneys." She has been listed in Who's Who for Trademark Attorneys; listed in "The Legal 500 US IP" of top law firms and lawyers in the area of Trademark and was a finalist for the San Diego Business Journal's Women Who Mean Business Awards. Lisa has also received the TWIN Award from the San Diego YWCA and has been nominated for several Pinnacle Awards by ATHENA of San Diego.

Lisa first joined Athena in 2002 as a member; was the Chair of the Entrepreneur Affinity Group from 2005-2009; and was elected to the Athena Board in 2009. Lisa has long served as a leader, mentor, and role model for the women attorneys at Fish & Richardson and for the women of Athena.
