Our Board of Directors

Diane S. Goostree has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare sector with both public and private companies. Her background includes experience in business development, sales and marketing, operations, and general management including raising capital, obtaining FDA approval for products and medical devices, and taking a company public.

She is President and CEO of BioPharma Catalyst Group, and consulting firm advising start-up companies. She was previously President and CEO of Aperture Therapeutics, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company. Previously, as President and CEO, she led Artes Medical as the Company received its first FDA approval for its PMA for a first-in-class dermal filler and led the Company’s IPO in December 2006. She was at SkinMedica from 2002 to 2006 as the Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Operations, and was actively involved in building the company through product and technology in-licensing, managing various business development, operations and marketing functions, and was involved in raising $90 million in venture funding. She was formerly Vice President, Business Development for Elan Pharmaceuticals, Inc., from 2000 to 2002, and held various positions with Dura Pharmaceuticals from 1995 to 2000. Ms. Goostree held several senior executive positions at Sanofi Aventis (previously Marion/Merrell Dow), a pharmaceutical company, from 1984 to 1995. Prior to 1984, she worked for Bayer and DuPont in an engineering capacity.

Ms. Goostree received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kansas and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
